GAR Cross Boots

Recently the folks from Edge Racing Products sent me a pair of their NovaGAR Cross Boots to try out.  I received a black set of boots in size twelve.  The first thing that I noticed upon opening the box was that they looked pretty cool.  Manufactured in Italy, the Cross boots reflect the quality that you would expect from an Italian boot.  They are pretty sleek in design and are not bulky at all.  Light weight for sure and pretty comfortable while wearing them around the house.  They are pretty close to a “true” fit as well.  Order what you wear in a street shoe and you will be good to go.

The real test was at the track the next day.  Honestly, I brought along my old boots just in case the GARs didn’t work out.  I am happy to report that the old boots stayed buried in the trailer.  The Cross boots really required zero break-in.  After a lap or two of practice I didn’t even notice them.  I didn’t feel my feet sliding around on the pegs and the soles looked like they will hold up well.  These boots were so comfortable that I kept them on the entire race day, about ten hours.  As comfortable as these boots are, they still offer adequate protection.  I took a few hits from some roost and the boots soaked it up.  I even overshot a big double and tested the ankle support the GARs.  They passed!

The NovaGAR Cross boots are available in both black and white, come in sizes seven to thirteen and retail for $275.00.  For more info check out www.edgeracingproducts.com
